Privacy Policy
Last updated November 4, 2026
What you type stays on your iPhone. Tactile (the keyboard and its app, made by Kamaal Works) has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. This policy explains exactly what is stored, where, and the one thing that leaves your device.
Typing
Autocorrect, predictions, Adaptive Touch and the words and phrases Tactile learns all run and stay on your iPhone. Nothing you type is collected, stored on a server or sent anywhere. Password and other secure fields always use Apple's keyboard.
Clipboard and snippets
Clipboard history and snippets are stored only on your iPhone, in storage shared between the Tactile app and its keyboard. They are never uploaded. You can delete them at any time in the app.
Full Access
iOS asks you to allow Full Access for a third-party keyboard. Tactile uses it only for clipboard history, recorded key sounds, haptics and the stats on its Home screen. The keyboard does not use Full Access to connect to the internet. Typing works without it.
Home stats and Typing Test
Home shows counts only, such as words typed per day and typos fixed. Typing Test results and the tap positions used to tune Adaptive Touch are stored on your iPhone. None of this includes what you type, and none of it leaves your device.
Tactile Voice
Dictation is transcribed on your iPhone using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Audio is processed on your iPhone and is not kept or sent anywhere by Tactile. iOS shows an orange dot while the microphone is on.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Apple. To check that a purchase is valid and keep Tactile Pro active, the app (never the keyboard) uses RevenueCat, which receives your purchase history and an anonymous identifier created for this app. This information is not linked to your identity, not used for tracking or advertising, and is handled under RevenueCat's privacy policy. Tactile never sees your payment details.
Children
Tactile does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your choices
You can turn off Full Access, Learn New Words or any feature in Settings, reset what Tactile has learned, and delete the app to remove everything it stored on your iPhone.
